Hello everyone , i will be reviewing Mulan .This movie review includes spoilers read  at your own risk

Synopsis

The Emperor of China issues a decree that In order to defend the country  from Northern Invaders one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army .
Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, takes the place of her ill father . She dresses up as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into an honored warrior and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father.

My thoughts on this movie

If you have watched the Disney cartoon Mulan , then you will understand how the movie is so different .The costumes and the setting of this movie was all on point .I enjoyed watching Hua Mulan grow up and i also liked watching the fight scenes .

However there are several things that shocked me in this movie.Firstly Hua Mulan actually had inner chi before she joined the imperial Army . So she was not a newbie to fighting like we all thought.Also in the Cartoon Mulan had a chemistry with the commander of the imperial Army .However in the movie she had he chemistry with one of her teammates and it was like a love/hate kind of relationship. Am i the only one surprised  that Mulan actually had a sister?Also where did this Witch come from , i actually didn’t expect that .The witch was in Cahoots with the northern invaders but at the ending of the movie she switches sides and saves Mulan’s life.I also kind of hoped to see the ancestor guardian because in the cartoon the little dragon was one of the best characters .But in the movie they showed a Phoenix instead watching over Mulan .

Overall I enjoyed the movie and liked the fact that they used chinese actors .I enjoy watching chinese movies and i recommend this movie to watch. Let me know what you think in the comments. Have u watched this movie and did you enjoy it.
